Gong is an incredible "don't-know-what-for" program. It features many different tiny uses that makes it very lovely and attractive. It does not matter what you are looking for (or even not): a shortcut to the system volume, an alarm clock, an atomic clock with live sync, countdown timers, a pinned calendar, or...just a good advice from the "Hainted 8-ball", all this you can get from Gong.
The user interface is single-windowed, divided with tabs, so you will master it in a few minutes. The appearance and graphics is somewhat basic and could be polished a little, but it is not ugly. And the memory footprint is very low, you will never notice the program running.
However, it's fair to mention that the program has some limitations, for example it might allow more flexibility when setting countdown timers. Maybe if you wait for the next version...oh, forgot to say, the program includes an auto-update feature.
Gong! is really cool, and the funnier thing is that I don't know exactly why I like it so much. Maybe it's the cuckoo singing every half an hour...maybe shaking the Hainted 8-ball gives me some calm...
